Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (IJSSH) must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth editorial and peer-review process. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors without going through the review process.

1. General Requirements

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in proper, academic English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors are responsible for ensuring the grammar and spelling are thoroughly proofread before submission.

  • Originality: The manuscript must be original, has not been published previously, and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Plagiarism: IJSSH maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. All manuscripts will be checked using Turnitin. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.

  • Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Please download and strictly follow the provided journal template here: [Template Jurnal]

2. Manuscript Structure The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

  • Title: Must be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the article (maximum 15 words).

  • Author(s) Identity: Full name without academic titles, affiliation/institution, and the corresponding author's email address.

  • Abstract & Keywords: The abstract should be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, containing 150-250 words. It must briefly state the research objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusion. Provide 3-5 keywords.

  • Introduction: Explains the research background, literature review (state of the art), research gap, and objectives.

  • Method: Clearly describes the research design, data collection, and data analysis techniques.

  • Results and Discussion: Presents the research findings logically and discusses them comprehensively by comparing them with previous studies.

  • Conclusion: Summarizes the main findings and provides suggestions for future research.

  • References: All references cited in the text must be listed in the reference section.

3. Citation and Reference Style

  • IJSSH uses the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style for citations and references.

  • Authors are highly recommended to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure citation accuracy.

  • At least 80% of the references should be primary sources (journal articles, proceedings) published within the last 10 years.

4. Submission Process Manuscripts can only be submitted online through this OJS platform. Authors must Register (if they do not have an account) or Login to start the submission process. We do not accept submissions via email.
